AKI is thrilled to invite you to a multi-day collaboration with Wax On– one of the world’s best bars located in Berlin. Starting with a masterclass showing some of their cocktails, followed by bar takeover, as Sam Orrock and Joshua Marks delight and serve guests with a curated selection of their signature cocktails.
MEET
Sam Orrock
Born in Nottingham and educated in London, Sam cut his teeth working for acclaimed bartenders and Michelin chefs such as Mathew Whiley and Adam Handling.
A strange turn of events led him to Berlin where he is now the owner/operator of world’s 50 best bar, Wax On.
Joshua Marks
Bartender | Wax On Berlin
Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Josh started his gastro-life at 14, working
in restaurants before turning to events and running pubs.
Landing in Berlin, he worked his way through Soho House to leave as the Bar Manager, and finally settling at acclaimed cocktail bar, Wax On

The eighth event of it’s kind in Malta, aimed at educating & entertaining through the art of mixology

Guest’s Master Class – 6.00pm – Ticketed Entry
We shall be opening this event to all local mixology enthusiasts who would like to attend. Starting with a introduction and discussion of the history and philosophy of the craft, this will then lead the way to a live demonstration of crafting some of the world’s best cocktails that put Wax On on the World’s 50 Best Bars list.
A tasting will follow suit along with an interactive Q & A session.
Bar Takeover – 8:00pm – Free Entry
Sam & Joshua will take over AKI’s main bar with a curated cocktail menu as they serve and delight guests. An opportunity to mingle and interact with guests will follow.
